On my last post about Legion prelaunch patch I was talking about all awesome things we already got. Now with just some hours prior to the launch in EU, I remembered something I noticed when the prelaunch patch hit. I was doing some last minute leveling and taking advantage of …
Yes an actual post and more of transmog post!! (I’m so sorry for slacking, just been super lazy and busy with other stuff :F) But ok I saw Dragonray‘s tweet that she is having yet another transmog competition! This time little bit shorter than the 12 week one 🙂 (Which …
13 weeks ago I saw Dragonray’s blog post about transmog contest, Mog around the World in 80 days, and I was hooked, I couldn’t wait it to start!
Idea was to celebrate independence! What a great idea, i know! 12 weeks – 12 transmogs!
The rules were quite simple:
The colours/theme must match the countries current flag.
All 12 weeks must be completed to ensure fairness in judging and finals.
The list on each page may be outdated but it is the official list we are going to base this competition on. (Original source)
Transmogs can be submitted in Mogit, ModelViewer or ingame
Your event entry must be able to use the outfit as a proper end-game transmog (so no Gnomes in Shaman gear or Goblin Rogues with shields) including cloak, helm and weapons. Disqualification of your entry if this not correct.
Include the gear you used for each outfit please.
Transmogs must be emailed to me by 6pm Friday night (AEST) of each week this allows us time to collate/judge on the weekend and announce winners on Mon/Tues. e.g. the first week cut-off is 31st Jan 6pm. Multiple weeks can be submitted at once, please advise country/week they are for. Consider a file name of [dragonray_Aust_week1.jpg] or something similar. Send the screenshots to my gmail.com account of onyxiia.
Your lovely judges for this event are Navimie, Cymre and Kamalia. I will be providing the images to them unnamed so they won’t be able to judge on person, just style.
Finals will consist of picking the top three outfits over the entire event.
Scores will be released during the finals week for all contestants.
Prizes to be confirmed, donations welcome.
Judging was based on 2 criteria, theme (correct colours for the flag/country you’ve chosen) and flavour (originality/style).
After every week the judges chose the winner of the week.
As I didn’t win any of the weeks I still enjoyed tons of just planning the mogs! 🙂 The winner of the whole competition was Syrco, see her blog here.
I’m gonna post all my 12 tmogs in series of 3, so that’s 4 posts total.
Kamalia, one of the awesome judges, designed a badge for the competition, so all who took part can put it on their blog/twitter if they want to 🙂
On February I saw Jstmel, his blog here, posting about transmog contest he is hosting.
It is 6 month challenge and there is one colour for each month (Like a rainbow ^^)
February – Red
March – Orange
April – Yellow
May – Green
June – Blue
July – Violet (any shade of purple)
Rules are quite simple:
1.) All outfits must be able to be worn as if they were a real transmog. Meaning, no mixing plate and cloth items together or no Mages carrying bows and so on.
2.) You can use MogIt or WoW Model Viewer for your submissions. Feel free to submit true transmogs as well if you have an appropriate outfit or want to gather the pieces in game for said outfit.
3.) Each entry must be submitted by the 25th of each month to allow time for voting.
4.) Please, submit only one entry per month. Take your time putting your outfits together. Remember, you have until the 25th of each month to submit your entry.
5.) Email entries to: momar dot jstmel @ gmail dot com (in proper email address format of course) with the corresponding month’s name and color in the subject title. (I.E. – Tmog Entry for March – Orange)
6.) In the body of the email list the names of the items used in each slot. Provide links to the items if you want.
7.) Please use all gear/weapon slots available. Rings, trinkets and necklaces not necessary.
As the first transmog for me was quite close to the deadline I re-used my mog I made for my Paladin some time ago! You can see it here. 🙂
For last month I completely forgot to submit my transmog!! But I’m gonna post it here anyways since I made it for that, I also made it for my Horde Druid to have on a Resto spec 🙂
So I’ve had this thing that I name my noncombat pets and Hunter pets with something “famous” like Disney characters or something like that. I was fooling around with my Hunter last night and I have this white wolf as a pet (been with me for ages! 😀 <3) and it’s been named after Jack London’s book, White Fang or (I sometimes like changing it) Hopeanuoli (which my Finnish readers understand, it’s Finnish name for Gin, from Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin (quite old anime ^^). But back to the topic, so I had this idea to change my wolfies name to “Ghost” (Jon Snow’s direwolf in Game of Thrones) and make female version of Jon Snow’s clothing! 😀 I think I made it work quite well with Hunter’s mail gear! BUT best of all I had another idea that why not to make Ygritte transmog too since she is the one who actually uses bows 🙂 Her transmog was bit more difficult to work with and think around 😀
But all and all I’m really happy how they worked out, now I just need to start farming! 😀
I’m sometimes rather lazy with my transmogs and I get bored to some of my transmogs on some characters really easily (my Priest is one of them). So few days ago I was thinking I want something new but I can’t be arsed to farm anything 😛 So I went trough my Void Storage which is full of robes (except few weapons). I found Stonecloth Robe, I absolutely adore this dress, I like how simple and yet sexy it is 🙂 so I started looking around my other stuff I have and tried to find matching items and I think it worked out pretty well with the items I had to work with 🙂
