#DeathKnightWeek notable Death Knights

Since I figured out this “theme” on my Druid week, this one is going to be my first notable Death Knights post ūüôā I was thinking to start with familiar boss encounter,¬†Four Horsemen.¬†Here they are:

Baron Rivendare

He was wealthy Landowner and friend of Kel’thuzad. He fell under the necromancer’s way and helped build and structure the¬†Cult of the Damned. One of his greatest joys is to instill corruption in others, especially paladins, and most especially members of Argent Dawn.
Originally he was ruling over the city of Stratholme for the Scourge. Now days he leads the Four Horsemen of Naxxramas in place of Highlord Mograine.
Quote:
“Time to take matters into my own hands. Come. Enter my domain and challenge the might of the Scourge!”

Lady Blaumeux

She calls forth the power of shadows, drawing the souls of the living into the voracious embrace.
It is presumed that she was formally a paladin and likely represents the “Rider of Famine”, based on her black colour scheme.
She wrote book called “This is my Runeblade…”.
In comic she witnessed the enslaving of Alexandros Mograine by Kel’thuzad. Later she fought against the party of Darion Mograine led into Naxxramas.
Quote:
“Your life is mine!”

Thane_Korth’azz

He represents the “Pale Rider of Death”, based on his light green colour scheme. He holds the power of flame.
He is fallen dwarf paladin. There is speculation that he fell to the Scourge after Uther’s death, as he might have been leading member of the Knights of the Silver Hand.
This is partially confirmed when Alexandros Mograine refers to Korth’azz as “one of Uther’s men”.
In comic he, along with Lady Blaumeux, witnessed enslaving of Alexandros Mograine nad fought against Darion Mograine.
He was defeated when Darion struck him down with the Corrupted Ashbringer.
Quote:
“Come out and fight, ye wee ninny!”

Sir Zeliek

He was a paladin in life, so strong in his faith, that even in undeath, the power of the light still heeds his call, smiting his foes in battle.
His body is forced to obey Kel’thuzad’s commands, Sir Zeliek managed to retain his sanity and morals despite his corruption. This could be seen as a mark of great spirituality and mental streangth.
He represents the “White Rider of Conquest”, based on his colour scheme and the wings on his helmet (signifying victory).

Quote:
“I…I have no choice but to obey!”

#AltsWarriorWeek Notable Warriors

As you might have noticed from my Twitter the hashtag for our Warrior Week is taken so we decided to use #AltsWarriorWeek instead.
But for this week I’ve again chosen some of the famous Warriors from WoW’s lore.

Magtheridon

He is the former Lord of Outland, a pit lord who conquered the ruinds of the orcish homeworld following its destruction.
His reign was ended by the arrival of Illidan Stormrage, who took his throne at the Black Temple for himself. Deciding that Magtheridon would have a further part to play, Illidan had Magtheridon’s body dragged to the Hellfire Citadel where he imprisoned the pit lord.

“Illidan is an arrogant fool! I will crush him and reclaim Outland as my own!”

Kur’talos Ravencrest

The Ravencrest clan was a noble one, but it was not of the Highborne caste. On the contrary, Kur’talos, like most of the night elf populace, regarded the Hghborne with suspicion and dislike. He was levelheaded man, a skilled warrior, and an inspiring leader on the battlefield. It was a matter of both honor and practicality for him to fight alongside his soldiers, his presence inspired others to greater feats of courage and skill. Even so, Kur’talos had many of the ancient night elves’ prejudices against other races.
In the altered history of the War of the Ancients – which was created when Rhonin, Krasus and Broxigar were huled backward in time and changed past events by their presence – Ravencrest became the formal patron of Illidan Stormrage after recruiting Illidan to help him track down Broxigar. Kur’talos was deeply loyal to Queen of Azshara and could not believe she had been involved in the Burning Legiond’s arrival on Azeroth. Indeed, he led the night elf forces against the demons into battle time and again, shouting queen’s name as rallying cry.

Kargath Bladefist

was the Warchief of the Fel Horde and Chieftain of the Shattered Hand Clan. He earned the sobriquet “Bladefist” after he cut off his own hand when he reached the station of grunt, replacing it with a deadly scythe.

Trivia
The outpost of Kargath in the Badlands was named in his honor. In addition, the shore south of Orgrimmar has been dubbed Bladefist Bay, and the headquarters of the Warsong Logging Camp in Ashenvale is known as Kargathia Keep.

Cairne Bloodhoof

He was the Chief og the united tribes of the Tauren, chieftain of the Bloodhoof, and leader of Thunder Bluff. Allying with the Horde upon its arrival on the shores of Kalimdor, Cairne stood as one of its wisest and most venerated leaders. He wielded the shamanblessed Bloodhoof Runespear.

Shocked at the rumors that the new Warchief slaughtered innocent druids, Cairne challenged Garrosh Hellscream to an honorable duel in the arena of Orgrimmar. Prior to the battle, Magatha Grimtotem offered to bless Garrosh’s weapon, Gorehowl. However, unknown to Garrosh, Magatha secretly poisoned the weapon with a potent toxin. During the course of the fight, Cairne appeared to have the upper hand until his ancient Bloodhoof Runespear is shattered by Gorehowl. Garrosh attacked again, cutting Cairne along the duration of his chest. As Cairne began to retaliate, the poison from Gorehowl sank into his blood, weakening him. As he died from the poison he realized Magatha’s betrayal, his final thought “And so, I, who have lived my whole life with honor, die betrayed”. R.I.P my friend <3

#WarlockWeek Notable Warlocks

So this week we have Warlocks in spot light. Here are few Warlocks I chose to introduce to you! ūüôā

Archimonde (pronounced Ark-i-mond)

He was the left hand of the fallen titan Sargeras. It is said that he was one of the greatest and darkest of the eredar. His personality was being extremely brutal, and often killed his underlings when they failed him. He was also highly intelligent however his arrogance and his inability to keep his anger in check proved a fatal flaw.
Trivia:
He is voiced by David Lodge in both Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

Balgaras the Foul

He is level 31 Dwarf Warlock who haunts the northern Wetlands and is reputed to be one of the leaders of the Dark Iron Dwarves.
In the comic he was leading a group of Dark Irons which seized control of Thandol Span. They also had Hjalmar Anvilmar as a captive.

Wilfred Fizzlebang

He appears in Crusader’s Coliseum, where he attempts to summon a doomguard for the next challenge but he accidentally summons¬†Lord Jaraxxus¬†instead who promptly kills him. (R.I.P <3)

“You! Yes, you! Gaze upon me and treasure this moment of meeting, for soon the world will come to know and fear the name and stern visage of Wilfred Fizzlebang! Once my magnificent summoning is complete, no one will doubt my ability!”

Niby the Almighty

He is level 56 Gnome Warlock located in Felwood (also located in Icecrown Citadel as a tier 10 armor vendor for Warlocks).
He holds personal vendetta against the people of Stormwind, for exiling him. He seeks to summon an especially almighty demon to wreak his revenge.
Occasionally, he will attempt to summon this demon unaided, resulting mild explosion.
Turning in quest Quest:Kroshiuss Infernal Core(Warlocks) he succeeds to summon this over-sized demonic chicken name El Pollo Grande. (*giggles*)

“Silence, servant! Vengeance will be mine! Death to Stormwind! Death by chicken!”

#ShamanWeek Notable Shamans

It’s the time of the alt appreciation week that I introduce you some known NPC in game.
This time I have Horde characters so Lok’tar ogar my friends! ūüôā

Thrall¬†(birthname Go’el)

Atleast some of you know that Thrall is my favourite character in WoW and I’ve waited #ShamanWeek to come so I can write more about him ūüėõ He was also the reason Why I got my¬†For the Alliance¬†achie and mount so late. I chose not to kill him, and when he he promoted Garrosh as the new Leader I was more than happy to go get my mount. ūüôā
Hes father was Durotan who was the chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan. He is the former Warchief of the Horde.
After Lich Kings fall increased elemental unrest news from the Shattering Thrall had step down as leader of the Horde, and he appointed Garrosh Hellscream as Warchief.

Some trivia knowledge you might not know:

  • Thrall was going to be voiced by Clancy Brown in the unreleased game Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans.¬†He is voiced by Chris Metzen¬†(!! <3) in Warcraft III, World of Warcraft and their expansions.
  • At BlizzCon 2010, Chris Metzen claimed that Thrall and his wielding of the Doomhammer was inspired by Thor.
  • The¬†Thrallmar¬†outpost on the¬†Hellfire Peninsula¬†in¬†Outland¬†is named after the Warchief. It is the Horde’s staging area to recolonize the orcs’ former native planet. Although few individuals will remember their planet before it exploded (Drek’Thar, for example, told the Mok’Nathal Rexxar that he fought alongside other Mok’Nathal on Draenor), all orcs will be shocked to see the state in which it lies now.

Drek’Thar

One of my favourite factions is Frostwolf Clan, I remember farming the reputation on my Warlock to get the so awesome Horn of the Frostwolf Howler mount (which was my goal right after I learned I can get mounts and I can get WOLF mounts! <3)
Drek’Thar is the leader of the Frostwolf Clan, he is elite boss located in¬†Frostwolf Keep¬†in¬†Alterac Valley. He also was Thrall’s tutor many years ago.

He’s been blind since birth, he had to prove his worth during the Horde’s dark period. He was also one of the first shaman.

“Stormpike filth! In my keep?! Slay them all!” – Drek’Thar

Magatha Grimtotem

She is a level 62 quest giver located in Elder Rise in the tauren city of Thunder Bluff.
She is also leader of the Grimtotem Clan.
Magatha was the chief rival to High Chieftain¬†Cairne Bloodhoof¬†for the leadership of all Tauren. After engineering Cairne’s death and briefly taking control of Thunder Bluff, Magatha and her Grimtotem were defeated by Cairne’s son’s,Baine, army. She and everyone who chose to remain with her were exiled by the new High Chieftain Baine.

#RogueWeek Notable Rogues

For this weeks notable post I have again gathered few maybe well known NPC’s, some bit better know that others. I also waited so long to be able to write about Vanessa and Edwin VanCleef. I find their story really fascinating and sad.

Valeera Sanguinar

She was, along with¬†Broll Bearmantle, companion of King¬†Varian Wrynn. Culturally she indentifies as blood elf, taking pride in her people’s traditions and defending their tribulations and loyalities. However she has formally joined neither the Horde nor the Alliance.

Valeera and Broll helped King Varian to return to Stormwind, back to his rightful throne. When they got to Stormwind, she helped reveal Onyxia’s treachery and traveled with King Varian back across the sea to finally kill Onyxia. After the death of Onyxia, King Varian offered both Broll and Valeera a permanent place in Stormwind, in which they could act as Varian’s bodyguards and advisers.

“I am neither Horde nor Alliance. What has either faction ever done for me?” – Valeera

“My loyalties are personal– To King Varian and to his son!” – Valeera

Mathias Shaw

He is the head of organization known as SI:7, the agency of intelligence for the city of Stormwind, and in fact much of the Alliance. His base of operations locates in Old Town, Stormwind. He coordinates reconnaissance efforts for many agents of the Alliance regarding as far apart as the Defias Brotherhood to the Undead Scourge. He is also master of stealth and infiltration tactics and specializes in operations involving the rogues in the employ of the Alliance.
Mathias is also leader of the Stormwind Assassins. He was a childhood friend of Edwin VanCleef and personally trained him as a rogue.

Edwin VanCleef

He was the leader of the Stonemasons Guild that rebuilt Stormwind City after it was sacked by the Horde in the First War. The reconstruction of Stormwind was an arduous task, but with such a genius as VanCleed they managed to complete it smoothly and in less than ten years. However, the House of Nobles refused to pay the Stonemasons Guild for their work.

Some of the senior of Stonemasons, including himself, were offered govermental jobs if they’d just be quiet and play along. Edwin VanCleed was not willing to betray is workmen. He spat on the floor and walked out of the halls he’d built, vowing that he’d make the city pay one way or another. Shortly afterward workers rioted in Stormwind. Several people died, including Varian’s wife,¬†Tiffin, and VanCleef with other artisans were the first to be cast out of the city gates.

He took the group of artisans and tinkers sitting in the mud outisde of gates of Stormwind and turned them into Defias Brotherhood. He is considered one of the greatest threats to the kingdom of Stormwind until he was killed by Alliance forces.

“None may challenge the brotherhood! ” – Edwin VanCleef

Vanessa VanCleef  (alias Hope Saldean)

She is the daughter of Edwin VanCleef and his successor as head of the Defias Brotherhood. Approaximately five years prior to Deathwing’s return, she watched from the shadows as her father was defeated by a group of adventurers on the orders of Gryan Stoutmantle.

She was adopted by the Saldeans, who were unaware of her identity. They named her Hope and parented her while they watched her grow up over the years.
Unlike her father, she is not skilled in close combat. However, she has very impressive skills in making poisons, especially ones that cause hallucinations or insanity.

“Lies, greed, and deception‚ÄĒthese are the things that my father stood against. For years, he worked tirelessly, helping to rebuild your devastated city, and what thanks did he or anyone else get for it? Nothing. What choice did they have but to turn on those who the crown favored to get payment, one way or another? Fate, it would seem, has led me down this path. Even with the murder of my father, your foolish attempts to destroy the Defias have been in vain. I am, now more than ever, my father‚Äôs daughter, and the Defias Brotherhood will rise once more…”¬†

#PriestWeek notable Priests

This thing has become a theme of my weekly class posts so this week I’ll introduce you to some of the famous Priests we have in our game ūüôā

Anduin Wrynn

Crown Prince Anduin Llane Wrynn, he is the heir to the throne of Stormwind. He was given the crown at the age of 10, to maintain order, when his father, King Varian Wrynn, disappeared en route to a diplomatic conference at Theramore Isle.

It says in World of Warcraft manual:

“King Anduin is as wise a ruler as any ten-year-old has a right to be. Recently his father, King Varian Wrynn, went missing under suspicious circumstances while en route to a diplomatic summit at Theramore Isle. At the behest of the royal councilor, Lady Prestor, young Anduin was given the crown so that order could be preserved within the kingdom of Stormwind. Though few citizens are aware that their true king has been missing for so long, Anduin does the best he can to allay their fears. It is widely held that the boy will grow to become a shrewd leader one day.”

 Prophet Velen

He is the leader of Draenei people, he’s been their leader since their flight from Argus. He’s been granted the gift of Sight, and has guided his people as they fled from the Burning Legion. He is one of the first among the Draenei and is the arch-nemesis (formely best friend) of Kil’jaeden.

Trivia (just because Babylon 5 is so awesome!):
The name Velen may be related to a character from the sci-fi television series, Babylon 5: Valen. Several general details between the two characters seem similar. Valen appeared aboard a starship seemingly out of nowhere to aid the Minbari in their war against the chaotic Shadows, much as Velen and the draenei crashed on Azeroth just in time to help fight the Burning Legion. Both seem to posses some method of prophecy, and both have contact with a higher race of beings of light, Velen the Naaru, Valen the Vorlons.

Tyrande Whisperwind (pronounced Ti-Ran-Da)

She is the leader of the Night Elves and chosen High Priestess of the Goddess Elune, she is also former general of the Night Elf Sentinels and the current head of Sisterhood of Elune. Together with her mate, the Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage, she has represented the highest leadership of the night elves since the fall of Queen Azshara.

Trivia:
Tyrande bolstered her forces by freeing a number of prisoners when she went to free Illidan, including a wolf named Loki.

She was also the last classic racial leader to receive either new armor or a unique model.

#PaladinWeek Famous Paladins

Yes I know I know it is #PriestWeek now, but I really wanted to show you some awesome Paladins that have crossed my path! ūüôā So here we go!

Uther the Lightbringer

He was the first Paladin of the Knights of the Silver Hand who led his Order in battle against the Horde during the Third War.
During the Third War, Uther was betrayed and murdered by his beloved pupil, Prince Arthas, while defending the urn carrying the ashes of Arthas’ father,¬†King Terenas.

His tomb is located in the Western Plaguelands, east of Chillwind Camp. The marker stone in the tomb reads:

Here lies Uther the Lightbringer

First Paladin – Founder or the Order of the Silver HandUther lived and died to defend the kingdom of Lordaeron. Though he was betrayed by his most beloved student, we believe that his spirit lives on. He continues to watch over us, even as the shadows close in around our ruined land. His Light is the light of all humanity – and so long as we honor his example, it shall never fade.

I loved doing the quest in Western Plaguelands where you escort ¬†Anchorite Truuen to Uther’s Tomb. R.I.P /salute

Terenas Menethil II

He was the last true king of Lordaeron and the primary founder of the original Alliance of Lordaeron. Ruling over seven decades, including the period of the Second and Third Wars, Terenas was considered one of the most powerful human monarch in the three thousand years since the breaking of Arathor. His death at the hands of his own son ended the Menethil dynasty and deprived the Alliance of its leadership at a critical moment in history.

It says in his tomb stone:

Here lies King Terenas Menethil II – Last True King of Lordaeron.Great were his deeds – long was his reign – unthinkable was his death.¬†“May the Father lie blameless for the deeds of the son.¬† ¬†May the bloodied crown stay lost and forgotten.”

Tirion Fordring

He was one of the first five Knights of the Silver Hand selected by Archbishop Alonsus Faol, and was one of the heroes of the Second War. He later became Lord of Mardenholde Keep in Hearthglen before being stripped of his title and exiled for defending an orc, Eitrigg.
Following the recent death of his son Taelan Fordring, Tirion committed himself to refounding the order of the Silver Hand. He now leads the Argent Crusade. To this day he remains good friends with the orc veteran Eitrigg.

Highlord Bolvar Fordragon

He was venerated warrior of the Alliance and served as the Regent of Stormwind. He was also named the commander of the Alliance forces sent to take the battle to the Scourge in Northrend. After the treachery of Grand Apothecary Putress at the Battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate, Fordragon was believed to have been killed, either by the Forsaken Blight or the fires of the red dragonblight.
(The Wrathgate¬†cinematic if you didn’t do the quest line or just haven’t seen it.In my opinion it is one of the best cinematics in WoW)

However, he survived, his body altered by the dragon’s flame, and was taken by the Scourge into Icecrown Citadel, tortured by the Lich King in an attempt to break him to his will. He resisted Lich King’s deprevations. After the death of¬†Arthas Menethil,¬†the mortal host of the Lich King, Fordragon demanded that Tirion Fordring place the¬†Helm of Domination,¬†containing all the powers of the Scourge, on his head, so that he would forever be the jailer of the damned – imprisoning the Lich King within the Frozen Throne once more and containing the threat of the Scourge.
(Fall of the Lich King¬†cinematic for those you haven’t seen it. Also one of the best cinematics, still gives me goosebumbs!!)

“Tell them only that the Lich King is dead. And that Bolvar Fordragon died with him. Now, go! Leave this place, and never return!”

/salute

Notable Hunters #HunterWeek

I was going to make this post yesterday but I had really annoying headache and couldn’t really ‘plan’ my post, what to write and who to introduce.
I want to show some Hunters you should know ūüôā

(Pictures are not taken by me this time, I think for these ones the fanart and stuff are way more interesting than only screenshots.)

Rexxar

For what I think Rexxar is by far the most interesting Hunter in the game. I remember him from the really really long pre quest line for Onyxia. He was patrolling the roads in Desolace with his loyal bear Misha Thunderlord Stronghold, Blade’s Edge Mountains.
Rexxar he is Champion of the Horde, half ogre, half orc beastmaster. He belongs to Mok’Nathal clan and he probably is last half-ogre in his clan.

Sylvanas Windrunner

Queen of the Forsaken, Dark Lady, Mistress Sylvanas of the Banshee and the Banshee Queen, she has lots of different names. She was killed by Arthas Menethil and brought back to life as creature of undeath. After she regained her free will she became the founder of the Forsaken faction, who are allied with the Horde.
She is a military genius she also has two sisters Alleria and Vereesa Windrunner also at least two brothers (Lirath Рseen in the novel Beyond the Dark Portal and the other name is not revealed.)

“A quick death…like the one you (Arthas) gave me? No. You’re going to suffer as I did. Thanks to my arrow, you can’t even run. Give my regards to hell, you son of a bitch.”

Also she looks effing awesome!! ūüėõ
I met this awesome Dwarf back in a day when he was a quest giver in Stranglethorn Vale, he introduced me to big game hunting for the first time. His son took care of the business in STV while he moved to Nagrand.
After that he’s been reintroduced in Sholazar Basin and Valley of the Four Winds. Every time he keeps hunting more and bigger animals.
He has many names like Enemy of the Nature, the Great Game Hunter and Old Man Death. He is also target of D.E.H.T.A (Druids for the Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals).
She is quest giver in Feathermoon Stronghold, Feralas. She is also the general of Night Elven Sentinels.

Shandris is one of the most loyal warriors in Tyrande Whisperwind‘s employ. A fearless archer and¬†huntress, Shandris stood by Tyrande’s side through the millennia of solitude that kept her away from her love, Malfurion.

End of #DruidWeek

So agains ends one week of alt appreciation.
For last post I was thinking to introduce some of my favourite druids (bit warning tho I’m a bit mainstreamer for these ones, just can’t help it ūüėõ

Fistly Remulos, he is a elite quest giver in Moonglade, he is younger son of Cenarius and Keeper of the Grove.

Cenarius is the Lord of the Forest and patron god of all druids regardless of race (along with Elune andYsera, his mothers, for the night elf druids). He is one of the most powerful and influential demigods of¬†Azeroth.” -WoWWiki

I don’t have any¬†particularly reason why I like these two, maybe because the lore around the druids and them is really interesting, maybe because they are also centaurs. I just like them, they are¬†fascinating¬†ūüôā
Then some really random druids from Molten Front

Secondly I would like to introduce you to my really good friend Candelaria We met trough Finnish WoW ladies forum and even tho our forum shut down we continued talking. She means quite a lot to me and I think I forget to say that to her on time to time. She has helped me a lot with my problems and it is really good to just open up and rant to someone! ūüôā This is a sneak pic of her druid from battle.net

This is one is my boyfriends druid Mayling. (He also don’t know that I added him to my post :D)
He means so much to me and I love him alot

For end of this post here is a picture of Moonglade. I love that place and as a Druid it has special meaning to me. Back in a day you had class quests you needed to finish before you were able to get your forms. Aquatic form was especially tricky!! ūüėõ
Next week is all about Hunter, so happy starting #HunterWeek !! ūüôā
