Notable Druids

Yesss it’s Druid time! As you may or may not have been noticed I’m quite obsessed with Druids, the lore, the NPCs, the whole class. At this moment I have one Druid at level 90 and 3 baby Druids that I’m trying to level ūüôā Hopefully atleast one of them is 90 before WoD ūüôā

“Druids harness the vast powers of nature to preserve balance and protect life. With experience, druids can unleash nature‚Äôs raw energy against their enemies, raining celestial fury on them from a great distance, binding them with enchanted vines, or ensnaring them in unrelenting cyclones.” (Official site here)

Ok time to introduce some well known NPCs.

Spirit_of_StormrageMalfurion Stormrage

He was the first mortal Druids on Azeroth, and the Night Elf who initiated the mainstream use of Druidism among the Kaldorei people under guidance of the demigod Cenarius. Under Malfurion’s supervision, the Night Elves succesfully stopped the Burning Legion’s first invasion of Azeroth during the War of the Ancients. He became the greatest of the world’s archdruids. He has twin brother, Illidan Stormrage, he is also loving and beloved husband of the high priestess of Elune, Tyrande Whisperwind. These two together have represented the highest leadership of the Night Elves ever since the fall of Queen Azshara.

Sometimes Malfurion is referred to as Shan’do, which means “honored teacher” in Darnassian. Connected deeply to the life of Azeroth and bearing ages of responsibility and wisdom, he is one of the mightiest and most venerated mortals of the Warcraft universe. Chris Metzen has said that Malfurion is one of his favourite character lorewise and I agree with ¬†him 100%.

“Be steadfast, champion. I know why it is that you are¬†here, and I know what it is that you seek.¬†Eranikus¬†will not give up the shard freely. He has been twisted… twisted by the same¬†force¬†that you seek to destroy.”

FandralfirelandsFandral Staghelm

He was formerly the Archdruid of Darnassus, replacing Malfurion Stormrage after he was lost in the Emerald Nightmare. He had constant power struggles with Tyrande, for leadership of the Night Elves and he was one of the architects of the plan to create Teldrassil. After it was revealed that he had been corrupted by the Nightmare himself and extended Malfurion’s absence, Fandral eventually descended into madness and was to be imprisoned by the Cenarion Circle. He was captured when he was being moved to Moonglade and turned into the first Druid of the Flame, becoming the new Majordomo of the Firelands, until he was killed by brave heroes during the final battle against Ragnaros.

Fandral is amond the most ancient of the remaining Night Elves. He’s born about a thousand years after the Sundering (that makes him over 9 000 years old).
He is taller than most of the Night Elves, close to 8 feet heigh. He uses his height to get advantage both in battle and conversation, seeking to intimidate all those around him. Fandral is fond of many of the ancient Night Elf beliefs, one particular has made him unpopular – He is devoted Night Elf supremacist and believes that Night Elves are the only true Druids, as well as the superior race on the planet. (I think he is his times Hitler sort of..)
